MY STORY

I’m SooHui, an embodied movement teacher based in Barcelona.

REBUILDING TRUST IN MOVEMENT — AND IN YOURSELF

Most people don’t come to me because they want more exercises.

They come because movement has stopped feeling safe.
Because pain, injury, stress, or long periods of pushing through have quietly changed the relationship they have with their body.

They’re often strong, capable, and thoughtful — but unsure how to listen inwardly anymore.

My work is about helping people rebuild trust in their body, so movement can feel supportive again rather than something to manage, avoid, or endure.

I believe movement isn’t about pushing harder—it’s about feeling safer.

MY APPROACH

I’m an embodied movement teacher working at the intersection of:

1

CLINICAL PILATES

Rehabilitation and Biomechanics

Understanding how your body should move—through assessment, functional movement patterns, and rehabilitation principles.

2

Feldenkrais-based movement education

Somatic Learning and Nervous System Awareness

Helping your body feel its way into new patterns—through exploration, nervous system education, and learning through movement.

3

Mindfulness and embodied presence

Embodied Learning

Seeing you as a whole person, not just a body to fix—through deep listening, trust-building, and meeting you exactly where you are.

An integrated Approach

I don’t treat these as methods to apply — I use them as learning frameworks.

Together, these create an approach that’s intelligent, gentle, and deeply transformative. Because here’s what I’ve learned: No single method has all the answers. Your body is too intelligent, too unique, too complex to fit into one box.

So I created an integrated approach—one that draws from multiple traditions but serves YOUR specific body, YOUR nervous system, YOUR story.

I’ve seen people who “look strong” but don’t feel safe moving.
People who have been told what’s wrong with them, but not how to listen to themselves.

People who want to return to activities they love — walking, running, training, daily life — but don’t want to force their way back.

That’s why my work is centred on embodied learning rather than outcomes.

When awareness improves, coordination follows.
When confidence returns, capacity grows — naturally and sustainably.

Rather than correcting, fixing, or pushing harder, I guide people to:

Sense more clearly

Recognise early signals of strain or holding

Explore movement options with curiosity and choice

Rebuild confidence from the inside out

This is not about performance or perfection.

It’s about learning how your body works — and trusting yourself to respond.

If you’re here because movement feels uncertain, limited, or disconnected — you don’t need to push harder or start again from zero.

You may simply need a different way in.

I’d be honoured to support you.

Never Stop Learning

My Training

Polestar Pilates
Certified instructor and mentor. I’ve worked with hundreds of clients and mentored dozens of Polestar students and newly certified teachers across the UK and Spain.

Feldenkrais Method
Currently completing my professional training. This somatic education approach is transforming how I see bodies, movement, and learning—helping me understand the deep intelligence of the nervous system.

Mindfulness & Meditation
Woven into all my work, particularly in partnership with meditation teacher Rob for our retreats.

Ongoing Learning
I’m a lifelong student—constantly exploring new ways to understand bodies, nervous systems, and healing. Because the moment I think I know everything is the moment I stop being useful to my clients.

Movement is life.

A few things that bring me joy

TRAVEL & EXPLORING NEW PLACES

I enjoy seeing, tasting, trying new things, and experiencing different cultures. I have lived in 7 different cities: Singapore, New York City, Hong Kong, Sydney, Shanghai, London and now Barcelona.

PRACTISING HANDSTANDS

It has been an amazing self discovery process. A test of patience and resilience. I love how I never stop learning and there is no end point in a handstand journey with always something to improve on.

THE SUN AND SEA

I feel very connected to the sea and the sun. Whenever I’m feeling stuck, being close to the sea and water has a natural way to soothe and heal.

MORNINGS IN CITIES

There is something really tranquil and calm about the mornings before a busy city wakes up. I enjoy the quiet time alone for self reflection and mindful practices.

EATING WELL AND GOOD COFFEE

Life is too short to eat bad food or drink bad coffee. I love the smell of coffee, especially in the morning. I believe that you can change how you feel by choosing what you eat.

BAREFOOT FREEDOM

I have been running with barefoot shoes since 2010. Over time, I have swapped all my footwear for barefoot and minimalist shoes. I love how good my body feels when I move in them.
